When it comes to new eyeshadow palette releases I always get pretty excited, the new Nude Pop from Kevyn Aucoin has been no exception. Nude pop pro eyeshadow palette is a collection of 12 neutral shades, with a selection of mattes, chromes and satin-shimmers. I brought this palette to use within my makeup kit, it’s perfect for bridal as well as more creative looks. This palette is timeless, modern and versatile for so many different kinds of makeup looks.
The compact holds a full-sized mirror on one side and the 12 eyeshadow shades on the other, it’s perfect for travelling. The compact itself is made of plastic but feels more weighty than some, its a decent size for travelling and perfect for makeup artists. The eyeshadows themselves are creamy and easy to blend together to create a seamless eye look. I have found using trial and error that the metallic foil shadows are best applied using a wet brush, it creates a strong wet finish with minimal fallout. The palette retails for £46 from Space NK, it’s the perfect christmas gift or treat for yourself.
Kevyn Aucoin do eyeshadows extremely well, they’re buttery and full of pigment. The 12 that feature in the Nude pop palette range from rosy taupe, grey plum, light peach, raspberry and deep purples. All of these shades can be used wet or dry, the foiled metallic shades show up stronger when used with a wet brush.
