On 12th December 2015 my sisters best friend Bethan got married, and I had the pleasure of doing her makeup for her big day. A year on and I have finally got round to putting the photographs up on my blog and sharing with you what makeup we went for on the day.
Bethan wanted to keep the makeup natural and light with shimmering eyes and pink lips. Its a classic look and I loved putting it together for her. Bethan wore Estee Lauder Double Wear as her foundation, its long lasting and full coverage. I explained that double wear could have flash back in photographs with having an spf however as the wedding was taking place during the day, she didn’t seem to mind. I applied a thin layer to create a skin like finish and set it with a translucent powder.
As for the brows, I groomed them with a brow gel and lightly filled them in with a light powder. The eyes are my favourite part to this look, I used a mixture of Lorac pro palette and Urban Decay Smokey palette. I also used Mac pro long-wear paint pot in painterly as a base for the eyeshadows, which increased the longevity of the shadows. I finished the eye look with waterproof mascara, of course.
To finish the skin off we went for a light flush of pink and for highlight I used Moonstone by Becca.
Lastly, for the lips Bethan wanted a long-lasting neutral pink. I picked out Biscayne Park Satin Lip Pencil by Nars. This was the perfect shade to complete the look.
Thank you to Bethan for letting me be a part of your special day, it was such a pleasure. Happy 1st wedding anniversary to the both of you.
