I’ve been having a love affair with matte eyeshadows recently, with the weather warming up and my skin looking dewy, shimmer eyeshadows have taken a back seat. Too much shimmer and glow can end up looking like a disco ball and I’m just not into that look at the moment. Im sure I will be back to using shimmer eyeshadows in no time, but for now matte eyeshadows are my thing…
The Flawless Matte eyeshadow palette by Makeup Revolution (£8) has been everything I’m looking for. It has 32 shades, all of which are matte, obviously. The shadows are so creamy and buttery, they glide onto the skin so effortlessly and smoothly. The only down side to this palette would be that the shadows do have a lot of fall out to them, and the lighter shades aren’t as pigmented as the darker shades.
Overall however I have been using this eyeshadow palette everyday and at only £8 its a definite must have in any makeup collection. You can create so many different looks using this one palette. It is also travel friendly as it has a large full sized mirror.
The lighter shades have less pigmentation than the darker shades in this palette, but I have been using Flaw to highlight my brow bone and Matte through the crease. Stone is also a great shade for lining the upper lash line.
I haven’t got much use out of this row, I have used the shade Warm however. I have been wearing more pink tones on my eyes recently and this looks lovely all over the lids.
Taupe and Rosewood are my most used shades from this row. Olden and Charcoal are also great shades for lining the lash line to give subtle definition.
As you can see from the swatches, this row has the most pigmentation. These shades also feel creamier than the other shades in the palette. Warm is my most used shade from this row and also Carbon is also a great shade for a smokey eye or adding definition to the lash line.
I am now lusting over the Beyond Flawless palette (£8).
Have you tried this palette from Makeup Revolution? Do you want to try it?
