Celeb Style | Rita Ora

On Wednesday 25th February it was the 2015 Brit Awards, I am a massive fan of the Brits; I watch it every single year and I just love watching the red carpet show before the main awards just to see everyones dresses and makeup for the night. This year Rita Ora’s makeup and dress was by far my favourite. I have a little girl crush on Rita at the moment, especially after watching the voice, the gurl has got her style down. I haven’t done a celeb style for a long time and I really enjoy writing these posts so I thought that I would do one for Rita’s 2015 Brit Awards look.
Rita always looks stunning, she has an elegant and sophisticated style which I adore. Her makeup for the Brits was gorgeous, she had a bronzed smokey eye, matte skin, strong brows and a lot of contour, she also had a very pale nude lip which I love. To recreate Rita’s makeup I would start by prepping the skin which your normal moisturiser, at the moment I am loving Mac Mineralise charged water moisture gel (£28). Then I would prime the skin just Rimmel stay Matte primer (£5.99), this primes the skin and creates a matte base for the foundation to go on to. In the photographs it looks like Rita has matte skin which added highlight in certain areas. To create this I would use Estee Lauder double wear foundation (£29), I use the shade cool bone. If you need to powder I would sure Rimmel stay matte powder (£3.99) in the areas you need it, for me it would be my T zone and around the nose.
Moving onto the eyes, to start with I would use Mac charcoal brown eyeshadow (£13) to fill them and define them. As an eye base I would use Laura Mercier eye basics in Tawny (£21) this acts as a primer and also gives the eyeshadows more depth. To create Rita’s smokey eye I would use the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette (£38), across the lid I would add Half baked with Mac Tempting and Wedge through the crease. To smoke out the edges I would go back to the UD Naked 2 palette and use Busted mixed with Blackout. Slightly winging out the shadow to create a winged line, I then would add bused, blackout and Tempting along the bottom lash line. For the inner corner I would use Nylon by Mac to highlight. To define the top and bottom lash line take any black kohl liner and draw a line very close to the lash line, these makes the lashes stand out more and it will be easier to apply false lashes on top of. Rita looks like she’s wearing a few individual lashes and my favourite are the Tanya Burr lashes (£5.49).
To get Rita’s sun kissed contour look, I would use the Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour kit (£39), to contour I would use the shade fawn and apply this below the cheekbones, temples, jaw line and down each side of the nose. To highlight I would also take the highlighting shade in the palette.
Finally for the lips I would use Mac In Sync lip liner (£12.50), with Estee Lauder pure colour envy lipstick in Desirable (£24) and for a bit of shine in the centre of the lips I would use & other stories lipgloss in Angora Pink (£7).
If you re-create Rita’s look, be sure to send me a photograph on twitter @WhatLucyLovesxo or on Instagram @WhatLucyLoves
