On my recent visit to Birmingham the other weekend to check out the uni, I stopped by the shopping centre -of course- I ended up picking up a couple of things that i’ve been after for a while. I managed to grab myself some bargains to.
After completing my very first bottle of the Rimmel Match Perfection foundation (£6.99), I just had to get my hands on another. I’ve done a review of this foundation which you can view here. I have the shade 100 Ivory and it is a perfect colour match for me, however as were coming into summer I will need to purchase a darker shade when I get more tanned.
Next on my list was to try out the L’oreal True Match foundation (£9.99), I’ve heard so many good things about this foundation and everyone seems to be raving about it at the moment. I have the shade Golden Ivory, even though it is the perfect shade for my skin, i’m not to keen on the finish or formula of this foundation. I will be doing a review soon but I find it to be to matte for me, I love a dewy finish but i’m willing to give it another try.
Anna from Vivianna Does Makeup always goes on about how good the L’Oreal False Lash Telescopic mascara (£10.99) is. Whilst I was in boots, the L’Oreal stand had an offer where you could buy any foundation and any mascara for £15, it would be rude not to. I have recently tried this out and wow. I know what all the fuss is about now, I’m going to do a review on this mascara because it is so god damn good not to.
The next two things I managed to find in TK Max, I’ve always loved the beauty section in TK Max. I’ve never tried Butter London nail varnish because I can never part with so much money for a nail polish, but I saw this for less than £5 and couldn’t resist picking it up. I got the shade Slapper (£12) . It is a gorgeous teal colour which looks bold and very bright. Perfect for spring.
Seche Vite dry fast top coat (£9.99) is a top coat that I’ve wanted to try for a long time, after seeing Lily from Lily Pebbles and Anna from Vivianna Does Makeup always talk about it. I am so impressed with this top coat as it really does dry fast, the best for those quick top ups before heading out the door.
Lastly I stopped by Kiehls to pick up their Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution (£36). I got a sample of this solution when I was in London and I absolutely loved it. I have a few scars from where I used to have spots around my chin area, and by using this every morning as part of my routine they have cleared up and disappeared. A miracle product I tell you.
Thank you for reading, let me know if you’ve tried any of these products that I have purchased. I would love to know your thoughts.
