Coral Bag from Primark £8,  Flower necklace from Primark £4, Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation £6.99, Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation £32, Mac Blusher in Well Dressed £18, Sheer Lips Lipstick from Topshop In Lolly £8, Jo Malone Blackberry and bay perfume £78.
With hopes of the sunshine making another appearance this weekend -as promised by the BBC weather.I have come up with seven of my must have things for this spring.
I spotted this small satchel-like handbag (£8) in the Primark section at Selfridges. –Yes Selfridges now stock Primark, I know, crazy. They have it in black and brown also. But I thought the bright coral one was perfect for spring and summer. It has a shoulder strap and two small arm straps, so you can carry it however you please. I tend to wear a lot of neutral and plain colours, like black, white, and grey so this bag will brighten up any outfit, perfect accessory for spring and summer.
My next must have comes in the form of a necklace, this was also from Primark (£4). I love pastel colours, so this was right up my street. I’m not one for wearing big statement necklaces, but I want to start wearing more jewellery. This piece is the right size for me, it’s not to in your face but it’s also not small and dainty.
Onto my must have beauty products, I like to keep things light and natural for spring and summer so I have picked two foundations that do just that, a drugstore brand and a higher end offering. Rimmel match perfection in 100 ivory (£6.99) is one of my all time favourite drugstore foundations. It is very light on the skin, it lasts all day (with a primer and powder) it covers all imperfections but doesn’t look cakey at all. If you’re looking for a new foundation to bring you into spring, look no further because Rimmel have got you covered.
For a more higher end offering, Chanel’s Vitalumiere Aquafoundation in 20 Beige (£32) is what I use for no makeup, makeup days. It gives a sheer coverage (when rubbed into the skin with fingers)or you can build it up for a light-medium coverage with a buffing brush. The shade I have at the moment is my summer shade as it is a little bit dark for me, but this will be my staple must have product for summer.
To add a flush of colour I like using Mac’s Well Dressedblusher (£18). It doesn’t look like the most exciting colour in pan but when added to the apples of your cheeks it gives a gorgeous pale pink, shimmery colour. It has tiny flecks of shimmer in it; they act as a highlight and reflect the light, which is a perfect addition to any makeup look this spring.
For lips I always opt to wear Topshop’s sheer lip colourLolly (£8). This was from Topshop’s ‘sheer lips’ range last year, but they have brought out a new collection of sheer lip colours, I’m currently eyeing up the nude (Alibi) and the pink (Applause).  I love sheer lipsticks as they add colour and moisture but don’t over do it, as a lipstick would. You can blend these so easily; you can get the shade you want.
To complete any look this spring, I like to spray my favourite perfume and at the moment it is Jo Malone’s Blackberry and Bay cologne(£79). I have done a review on this perfume here. By spraying your favourite perfume it makes you feel so good, it can make your outfit and makeup just that little bit more special.
I hope you like my must haves for spring and I hope you all have a great weekend. Don’t forget to check back on Monday for a foundation review. Oooooh spoiler.
