NEW YORK CITY

In this post: ASOS, Elizabeth and James, Adidas, Jimmy Choo

After my most recent city break trip to New York, I thought id share with you a few of my city break styling tips and ideas. During city breaks I opt for comfort over style but still trying to keep it chic and fashionable.

I packed a variety of different footwear for this trip but ended up only wearing my Adidas Originals trainers, we were walking everywhere in the city all day, so comfort is what I needed. For city breaks I hardly ever wear flip-flops, sandals etc. Its always trainers or boots during the winter.

We headed to the big apple in the middle of June, the beginning of summer. The sun was blazing hot so keeping cool was my next priority. Shorts, skirts and light airy trousers were what I lived in, I found these high-waisted denim shorts on Asos and they were surprisingly very comfortable. I paired them with a grey ribbed body, also from Asos.

Call me excessive but I carried around two bags. One being my Elizabeth and James Cross body bag, I used this for easy access items such as my phone, money, lip balm and lipsticks. My Michael Kors tote bag was used for cameras, water bottles and other essentials. Towards the end of the holiday however I decided to only carry my Elizabeth and James bag and carry my camera around my neck, this made everything so much easier and the weight of my tote bag was not missed.

This was one of my favourite outfits because it was comfortable, it kept me cool and was easy to wear. I would wear this outfit again for other city breaks but also paired with flip flops for a beach holiday too.

I’m still completely obsessed with New York City, I had such a good time and I can’t wait to visit the city again very soon. Theres still so many things I want to see, visit and experience.

Have you ever visited the big apple?
