St Tropez Original Moose or Self-Express Tan?

L-R: Original moose, Self-express

I am a massive fan of St Tropez tans; I have been using the original moose for as long as I can remember. When I used to do dance shows when I was younger I remember my mum using the St Tropez original moose on me all the time. It’s safe to say that the fake tan smell doesn’t bother me anymore, if this is something that your concerned about then St Tropez might not be for you. However out of all the tans that I have tried, I always go back to St Tropez.

St Tropez Original Moose tan (£30.64): I used to use this tan all the time. With the original moose, I tend to apply it before bed and sleep with it on so the colour can develop. I then shower off the top coat that appears and I am left with a gorgeous natural tan colour (depending on how many layers I apply). I use the St Tropez mitt to apply both tans and it creates a seamless finish without any streaks. With the original moose, I feel like you are limited to one colour, unless you apply more layers. But with the self-express tan however you can choose what kind of colour you want whilst it develops.

St Tropez self-express tan (£33): The Self Express tan is a product that I wish I would have thought off because it is genius, you apply one layer of the tan all over the body (or specific areas you want to tan), leave it on for one hour for a light tan, 2 hours for a medium tan or 3 hours for a dark tan. I love the original moose, but hate waiting for it to develop, this normally means going to bed with it on and washing it off in the morning. I however love the fact you can leave this tan on and within 1-3 hours your able to wash it off again. The smell is a lot more pleasant than the original moose too.

If I had to choose just one of the tans, I would probably chose the self-express tan. It is a lot more convenient for when your in a rush and need a quick tan fix. However I still have the original tan and will still use it. But I do prefer the self-express tan.

Have you ever tried St Tropez tans? Whats your favourite?
