Nars Sheer Glow Foundation £31
Louise Young LY34 Brush £24.50
Nars is a brand that I always lust over but never actually buy anything from, for christmas however I received quite a lot of Nars products. Sheer glow foundation in Deauville was one of them. I have never ventured deeper into the brand aside from the odd lipgloss here and there.
I have normal-dry skin, and I always find that full coverage foundations can sometimes cling onto my driest areas. This foundation has a medium-full coverage, but it claims to have a sheer-buildable coverage. I find that even if you apply a very small amount of this foundation it will still give you a medium coverage, it is highly pigmented so a little bit really does go along way. I tend to layer this foundation on the areas I need a bit more coverage (cheeks and chin), avoiding my forehead and nose areas. Even though this foundation is for “normal, normal to dry and dry skin types” I find that it does cling to my driest areas, it’s not that noticeable but I know that it is there.
This foundation claims to have a “glowing, natural radiant finish with sheer to build able coverage that immaculately evens skin tone”. It does offer a natural glow that doesn’t look greasy, it has the right amount on glow in it to make you look healthy.
I have the shade Deauville, which is said to be light with a neutral balance of pink and yellow undertones. All of the shades that Nars offer have very prominent yellow undertones, this can sometimes be overwhelming if your natural skin tone is neutral or pink toned. It can be very noticeable on some people but the foundation can be blended into the skin with no problems. I sometimes use my Louise Young LY34 brush if I want a medium coverage or I will use my Zoeva silk finish foundation brush for a higher coverage.
Overall I really like wearing this foundation as it covers any imperfections, it sits well on my skin and gives the perfect amount of dewiness, which I love.
Have you tried Nars Sheer Glow?
