The Review: L’Oreal Colour Riche L’ombre Pure Shadows

L’Oreal is a brand that I knew existed but never really tried anything new from, I had a bad experience with their true match foundation which i’m still trying to love but it’s just not for me. So when I saw their new eyeshadows –Colour Riche L’ombre Pure (£5.49)– I just had to give the brand another go. These shadows are a lot different to their colour Infallible shadows which I still haven’t tried but I know that they are more of a loose pigment pressed down with a stopper rather than a traditional pressed shadow.
I picked up 3 shades, 106 matte which is an easy to wear everyday matte brown shade, I wear this through the crease to contour or all over lid as a quick wash of colour, 201 nude a gorgeous shimmery taupe colour which looks amazing all over the lids because it picks up the right amount of light and 206 nude I like to use this one to highlight the inner corners of my eyes and brow bone. I have found the best way to apply these shadows is with your fingers, they give a sheer wash of colour with your fingers and blend seamlessly. I found that with a brush I couldn’t pick up a lot of the colour and it started to look patchy on the lids.
I can’t wait to pick up more colours because L’Oreal aways have 3 for 2 or some kind of offer on their stands.
Have you tried these new eyeshadows from L’Oreal?
Thanks for reading,
Lucy xxx
