Summer Holiday Clothing Haul

Summer has always been my favourite season, but when it comes to fashion I love chunky knits and huge comfy coats. I like to hide under clothes and showing a bit of skin is something I feel uncomfortable with. This year however, I have found some staple summer pieces which I can’t wait to wear during the summer months. I am in fact going to Turkey for a 2 week holiday at the end of this month and to say i’m excited would be a huge understatement because i’ve not been abroad for a summer holiday is about 4 years. I have done a little bit of summer holiday shopping and I can’t wait to show you what I brought.
Dresses are so easy to wear during the summer, they cover the right amount of skin but show enough -if that makes sense? This dress is a simple piece that is really light and airy to wear. Mint green is one of my all time favourite colours and I love the way this colour brings out your tan. I decided to pair this dress with my black hat from Brandy Melville which I adore and I will most likely be wearing with everything on holiday.

White is one of my favourite colours to wear in the summer, it makes you look more tanned and just makes you look healthy and radiant. White clothing can also be staple pieces in your wardrobe for all year round, you can add different coloured accessories to match different seasons and I love how one piece in your summer wardrobe can also be a staple piece in Winter. I added a coral bag from primark   to break up the all-white dress and add colour. This dress is one of my favourite pieces, its a light comfy material that won’t make you too hot on holiday. It is also a very flattering shape, it hugs the right amount of curves but it is still a very loose fit.

This next outfit is really summery and I can’t wait to wear it on holiday. I love bright prints and this skirt was a complete bargain from TKMaxx. It is so easy to wear and feels really light, the waist band is stretchy and doesn’t dig into the skin (which I hate with skirts). The vest top is from Next and I got three different colours for £12, I got a bright pink, mint green and white. These vest tops are staple pieces which I will wear through out summer and the colder months. The white block sandals are my favourite shoes from my holiday shopping spree, I did a full post on them here.

I wore this last outfit to the Coldplay concert a couple of weeks ago and I adored it. The shorts are high waisted and very loose, the print is gorgeous and I like to pair these with a mint green vest top (like the pink one above), a cute pastel pink bag from primark and white heels. The shorts are really easy to wear and are really comfortable.

I am very excited to be going away on holiday soon. Are you going away this summer? If you are, tell me in the comments below I would love to know. Which piece is your favourite?
Check back on Saturday for a post about what makeup pieces I have picked up for my holiday.
Thanks for reading,
