For my everyday makeup and hair routine I stick to what I know and love, which involves the hair straightens and eyeshadow to define the lash line. I thought it was time to step out of my comfort zone and try something new.
I’ve tried –and failed– many times before to do eyeliner in the past and each time it either looks like I have no eyeliner on or its smudged all around my eye. -Not the best for early mornings when your trying to rush, but practise makes perfect. I used the Topshop liner in ink (£8) to create this look and even though it took me a while to get used to using a gel liner, I have to say it is much easier than a pencil or liquid. I didn’t intend for my liner to be that thick but i’m still trying to get used to the brush and liner. I would recommend this gel liner for first timers as it is really easy to use, it does set but not straight away, which is good for correcting any mistakes. I really like wearing eyeliner at the moment and when I perfect it, i’m sure I will be replacing the eyeshadow for gel.
As for my hair, I don’t normally have my hair curly because I do prefer it to be straight. My hair in the photograph is actually natural, I washed it last night and woke up this morning and I have done nothing to it. I quite like the messy, bed head kind of look.
Do you like this look? Would you ever go out of your comfort zone to try something new? Let me know in the comments.
P.S my nails are Essie’s Bikini So Teeny (excuse the chips), my top is from Victoria Secrets and my phone case is from Cathkidston.
